Shion: Simple Home Automation for the Mac
Shion is a home automation application for the Mac platform. Using Shion,
you can use your Mac to manage lights and appliances, create snapshots of
oft-used environmental configurations, and control your environment from
your desktop, other applications, or your iPhone (via the web).
Unlike
other home automation applications on the Mac, Shion is a free open-source
application that can be installed without the need for special kernel
drivers or other software. Built especially for the Mac platform, Shion
presents a simple (but powerful) user interface. Shion also supports Apple
technologies (such as AppleScript and the Apple Remote) to smoothly integrate
with other applications on the Mac.
